چکیده

IMMUNOLOGY. For the article ‘‘Single-cell analysis of normal and FOXP3-mutant human T cells: FOXP3 expression without regulatory T cell development,’’ by Marc A. Gavin, Troy R. Torgerson, Evan Houston, Paul deRoos, William Y. Ho, Asbjørg Stray-Pedersen, Elizabeth L. Ocheltree, Philip D. Greenberg, Hans D. Ochs, and Alexander Y. Rudensky, which appeared in issue 17, April 25, 2006, of Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA (103, 6659–6664; first published April 14, 2006; 10.1073 pnas.0509484103), the authors note the incorrect placement of the in Fig. 1B. In addition, the position of Fig. 1E was incorrect. The authors also note the omission of the after each instance of ‘‘IFN-’’ in Fig. 3. The corrected figures and their legends appear below. These errors do not alter the conclusions of the article.

Foxp4 Is Dispensable for T Cell Development, but Required for Robust Recall Responses

Transcription factors regulate T cell fates at every stage of development and differentiation. Members of the Foxp family of forkhead transcription factors are essential for normal T lineage development; Foxp3 is required for T regulatory cell generation and function, and Foxp1 is necessary for generation and maintenance of naïve T cells. Foxp4, an additional member of the Foxp family, is highl...

T Regulatory Cell Responses to Immunization with a Soluble Egg Antigen in Schistosoma mansoni-Infected Mice

The aim of the study is to characterize the phenotypes of CD4(+) CD25(+) T regulatory cells within the liver granulomas and association with both Foxp-3 gene expression and splenic cytokines. Naïve C57BL/6 mice were intravenously injected with multiple doses of the soluble egg antigen (SEA) 7 days before cercarial infection. The immunized and infected control groups were sacrificed 8 and 16 wee...

Neuropilin-1highCD4+CD25+ Regulatory T Cells Exhibit Primary Negative Immunoregulation in Sepsis

Regulatory T cells (Tregs) appear to be involved in sepsis-induced immune dysfunction; neuropilin-1 (Nrp-1) was identified as a surface marker for CD4(+)CD25(+)Tregs. In the current study, we investigated the negative immunoregulation of Nrp-1(high)CD4(+)CD25(+)Tregs and the potential therapeutic value of Nrp-1 in sepsis. Splenic CD4(+)CD25(+)Tregs from cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) mouse m...

[The role of stromal mast cells in the modification of CD4+CD25+Foxp³ regulatory T cells, Th17 lymphocytes and cytotoxic lymphocytes Tc1 in the development and progression of tumor].

Despite the lack of direct evidence that immune surveillance cells protect against tumor development, indirect clinical observations and experimental studies indicate activity in the immune response against cancer cells of various origin. Little is known about the effects of the stromal tumor mast cell (MC) in the activity of immune cells, i.e. CD4+CD25+Foxp³+ regulatory T cells, Th17 lymphocyt...
